Every year new trends emerge and become true vanishing points for those who had no idea what to wear. The problem is that this lack of creativity ends up wearing trends that could be very well used if they were used sparingly and a little more carefully.

Small details in jaguar, zebra print or even the overtoning of the python were very well explored in 2011. The problem is that this idea has gone beyond the limit of small items to dresses, shoes, coats and pants. Once again the hype appeared and that tendency that could be used “for good” turned out to be a nightmare.

Maxi skirts

Perfect for both winter and summer, the maxi skirts had room all year round. Some were leaner, others looser. The variety of designs, prints, textures and colors was huge. Still, a lot of people wore and abused their big skirts. This piece became a true wildcard in the closet and was widely used with thin, wide belts and assorted jackets.

Boot on the leggings

It can be mount, thin jump or even the fearsome platform. Undoubtedly, 2011 was the year of the boot out of the pants. The trend started in 2009 and went on for two years until it fell in the people's taste this year. Because it is fairer and not "accumulated" inside the boot, legging was voted the best piece for that. Although it is really more practical, this is another trend that made you sick.

Short with outside pocket

The initial plan was to make the shorts look like it was cut from a pair of jeans, so some of the pocket would pop out of the piece. We have reached a very delicate point in the 2011 trends. Decorated pantyhose may have been a real fever for women of all ages. Still, a lot of people ended up getting too excited and putting their common sense aside, especially when it came to coordinating the texture of the pantyhose with a possible pattern of clothing.

The variety of models of decorated socks is huge. There are those that mimic lace patterns, others with hearts, balls, plaid and absolutely almost all types of designs. The only recommendation is to look for one that can be worn with more clothes without "fighting" with the rest of the look. This is a trend that has the potential to continue in 2012.

Red pants

Red pants were, at the beginning of the year, a kind of fashionista icon. However, with the popularization of the trend, many people embraced the idea and popularized the colorful pants on a daily basis. They began to appear in 2010, but it was not until 2011 that red pants emerged on a multitude of occasions and places.

Admittedly, the bandage dress is not for everyone. Just right, it enhances curves and may end up revealing some unwanted fat. But if you're super fit like American Jennifer Love-Hewitt, that's fine. The only problem is following her example and appearing six times with the same dress model in different situations.

Ankle boots

Okay, they are versatile and can transform a common look into something more sensual and bold. Still, ankle boots are already pretty saturated - at least in 2011. Some of them look like buttoned-up sandals, others are really ankle-high boots, as the name suggests. But that doesn't make them any less "beats" this year.
