We live in a society that values consumption in a frightening way, and there are not a few indebted people out there for buying too many items, many of them completely unnecessary.
In contrast to clogged closets of clothes and shoes, and even houses full of furniture and decorative objects, minimalism preaches the idea that we can live with little, very little indeed.
One of the cultures in which minimalism is gaining more and more strength is Japan, which seeks simplicity also for religious reasons and thinks about consumption also due to economic bias, after all it is cheap to have less.
