5 superviolent serial killers that were recently captured

The fascination that people feel about serial killers is incredible, and there are even cases of individuals who have become followers of these killers. However, while only a few of them become well-known enough to reach the - absurd - point of having fans, the truth is that there are many such criminals out there being hunted by the police.

So much so that, according to ListVerse, there are believed to be between 35 and 300 active serial killers in the US alone! Luckily, eventually many of these criminals eventually make a mistake and get discovered, and you can check out five recently caught superviolent serial killers :

1 - Mohan Kumar, India

Caught in 2009, Kumar confessed to killing 20 women over a five-year period, employing the same “method” with all of them. First the Indian became friends with the victims, started romantic relationships and, after a few weeks, invited them to run away with him.

After spending a romantic night together, Kumar persuaded his victims to take two "morning after pills" - which were actually cyanide capsules - and even reported that the drugs could cause discomfort. The poor women died within minutes, and the killer took the opportunity to steal their jewelry and other valuables.

2 - Israel Keyes, USA

After studying the behavior of several killers Famous, Keyes has developed his own modus operandi to never be caught by the police. So he began to spread various "death kits" across the country - consisting of shovels, money, plastic bags, etc. - to facilitate the process of disappearing with the bodies of their victims, who were abducted, raped and then quartered.

Keyes was caught by the FBI in 2011, accused of killing at least eight women. After being arrested, the killer committed suicide in his cell, and to this day authorities believe there are still more victims of this patient who have not yet been discovered.

3 - Zhang Yongming, China

Yongming was executed in January this year on charges of cannibalism. Prepare the stomach, because the case is tense! Chinese authorities arrested Yongming during an investigation into the disappearance of several children in Yunnan province. Some clues led to the cannibal's house, where police found slices of human flesh, preserved eyes and other remains.

Not only did the Chinese consume the meat of the children he captured, he also fed his dogs and sold some cuts as if they were ostrich meat in the village market. Police were able to prove Yongming's involvement in the death of 11 victims, although there are records of more than 20 missing.

4 - Mikhail P., Russia

Known as one of Russia's most prolific serial killers, Mikhail P. - a former Vladivostok police officer - is responsible for the deaths of at least 24 women and 26 other victims whose cases are still under investigation. The Russian approached his "prey" late at night, on the pretext of offering a lift. Then he would take them to some remote forest, where women were brutally tortured, raped and killed.

Russian authorities arrived in Mikhail after 15 years investigating the murders, when they decided to compare the DNA collected from the bodies with that of retired police officers from their own corporation. The Russian was arrested last year and is still being held pending trial.

5 - Anthony Sowell, USA

Also known as the "Cleveland Strangler, " Sowell was accused of raping and strangling 11 women in 2009. He was caught carelessly after victim "number 12" managed to escape and run to the police. When the authorities arrived at the killer's house, they found a true scenario of terror.

After raiding the scene, police found the bodies of two women in the room and those of four other victims scattered throughout the rest of the house. In addition, 11 other corpses were discovered buried in the yard, and only the 11th victim's skull was found.
