6 cases of supernatural occurrences in major disasters

We are usually more afraid of those ghosts who have become urban legend and whose story is usually linked to some violent or very lonely death, and little is said of the supernatural occurrences linked to tragedies in which hundreds of people die. So let's show you a series of macabre events connected to mass catastrophes.

1. Ghost passengers

It is not known why the spirits chose to haunt these workers precisely, but many taxi drivers from the tsunami-ravaged cities that struck Japan in 2011 report picking up passengers who seemed perfectly normal but suddenly disappeared from the car. Sometimes they would even ask questions like, "Have I died?"

2. Premonition at the Titanic

When the benefits of the internet could not be counted on, remote communication was via letters. And if you were traveling, it used to be done from port to port.

This includes a series of messages sent by Edward J. Smith, the captain of the Titanic. One is especially dire: two days before the wreck, Captain Smith sent a letter to his sister saying that he could not like the ship and had a strange feeling about it.

3. Haunts on the subway

London's subways are the scene of many ghostly stories, especially as many underground stations cross ancient cemeteries. As new tragedies occur, the number of stories grows.

World War II was in full swing, and Londoners were instructed to take shelter on the subways in case of any bombing. Thus, when in 1943 the sirens warning of an air raid rang, widespread panic spread and thousands of people ran.

In the end, the sound of the siren was nothing more than a test, which generated a total of 173 dead people trampled with the rush. Since then, workers who saw the station at night claim to hear desperate shouts from women and children (who were the majority of the victims).

4. Phantom Crew

In 1972, a flight eventually crashed in Florida, killing 101 people. Among the dead were Captain Bob Loft and flight engineer Don Repo.

After the tragedy, appearances of the two men began to be reported. The visits took place on planes that had received pieces recovered from the wreckage of the flight that killed them.

Many crew members actually talked to Loft before he disappeared. Repo, meanwhile, came to be seen inspecting the planes, always near defective parts and sometimes even giving warnings, as if determined to make sure there were no more accidents.

5. Thai tsunami victims

Given the aggressiveness of a catastrophe such as the tsunamis, it is no wonder how many ghostly experiences are linked to them. This time it happened in Thailand after the tsunami that hit the country in 2004.

After the tragedy, many residents of the stricken coast reported constantly hearing desperate shouts as well as seeing spirits wandering the streets. One driver still claims to have picked up seven foreign passengers, but they simply disappeared.

6. Trip interrupted

Chicago

In 1979, the city of Chicago experienced the tragedy involving a plane that lost its engine shortly after takeoff; 273 people died.

After the accident - and to this day - people around the airport are not infrequently faced with a stranger knocking on their door, claiming they need to find their luggage or make a connection, then disappear into thin air. Some even say they hear shouts coming from the field adjacent to the airport and even see strange people roaming that road.

So, what do you think? Are they supernatural events or just small talk? Tell us!
