6 times you should NOT drink water

Everyone knows - or should know - the importance of drinking water regularly. If you're still out, read this article to find out if you're hydrating enough. But even excess water can hurt us, and there are some situations where it is preferable not to drink it. Check out:

1. Just before bed

If you are going to take any medication, it's okay, but avoid large amounts of water at bedtime. It can disrupt sleep by making you wake up to go to the bathroom, but more serious is the fact that at rest our organs function more slowly, including the kidneys. Therefore, it is common for you to wake up with a more apparent swelling on your face and limbs if you drink a lot of water before bed.

2. During an intense workout

While you are training hard, your body ends up releasing a lot of water in the form of sweat, and the body temperature gets higher. Of course, you tend to drink a lot of water to try to control it. However, this gesture can affect your electrolytes, causing dizziness, nausea and headache. Not to mention that too much fluid in the body overloads the heart, which is already working hard. Therefore, the ideal is to replace the fluid after finishing the training and being rested.

4. When Eating Pepper

Peppers contain the component called capsaicin, which is responsible for burning in the mouth. To combat this burning, it is ideal to drink fluids such as milk, which counteract the effects of capsaicin. Drinking water to try to cool down will actually only help spread the substance further into your mouth and esophagus.
