Artists create new McLaren image with lights and lasers [video]

The video above shows the result of a partnership between the folks at Marshmallow Laser Feast and The Found Collective, who joined forces to “paint” McLaren's latest release with lights and lasers. According to THE NEW FSTOPPERS website, to produce the clip, the team used several cut-out images of the new P12, displaying them on a huge plasma television set on rails.

Thus, in order to create the supercar with lights and lasers, the plasma screen was moved back and forth while images emitted by the television were recorded by a camera programmed for long exposure shooting - which was also repositioned several times as along the rails - capturing the light trails that make up the video.

The process was repeated thousands of times until it was possible to get all the frames needed to produce the animation, which brings together photography techniques and computer-generated images to create the illusion of movement. Amazing, isn't it?
