Potatoes: A great way to remove broken glass

Potatoes: A thousand and one utilities (Image source: Reproduction / Wikimedia Commons)
Who has never broken a glass (especially in the kitchen) and even after cleaning the environment, still found small shards hidden in the corners a week later? Using a vacuum cleaner to try to fix such a situation is a good option, but it will not always reach all the places where tiny glass particles might be.

In these cases - besides avoiding walking around the place for a long time - an even better tip would be: use a raw potato, as it helps to remove the small pieces simply.

The steps are easy: turn off the lights in the room where the glass was smashed and, with the help of a flashlight, illuminate the possible places where the tiny pieces would be. The shards will reflect the light, so you only need to pass half raw potatoes over them (using a glove) so that it incorporates all the pieces without difficulty.
