Syfy Channel participates in CCXP 2015 cosplay programming

Syfy participates for the first time in CCXP - Comic Con Experience -, the largest Brazilian event in the universe of heroes, comics, cinema and TV, which takes place between December 3rd and 6th, at São Paulo Expo, in São Paulo. The channel is the sponsor of the Cosplay Universe program, which brings together attractions and activities for cosplay lovers.

In this edition, Cosplay Universe will feature workshops by two professional cosplayers, Argentine Lady Lemon and American Emily Anderson, who will also be judged at the final of the Cosplay Experience contest, which will take place on the last day of the event. The contest will also feature the participation of Armando Fonseca, one of the special effects specialists of the Cinelab program, aired by the channel.

In addition, CCXP will feature Cosplay Parade, a grand celebration of all the cosplayers of the event, which takes place every day from 5 pm after the Cosplay Parade. Cosplayers will also have a dedicated structure to serve them, the Dressing Room Cosplay Syfy, to store their belongings and produce for the attractions.

Fans of the iconic British Doctor Who series will be able to take photos at the program's flagship TARDIS booth at the Mundo Geek Store booth, and can instantly print photos using the hashtag #EueaTARDISdoSyfy by posting the photo to the Instagram social network. The channel will start showing the series from 2016, with the re-presentation of the eighth season followed by the premiere of the ninth year, unprecedented in Brazil.

Syfy also takes to the event the action "Monsters Syfy" inspired by the reality show "Face OFF", competition shown by the channel between makeup and special effects professionals. Each week, they are challenged to create artistic makeup effects ranging from body makeup to monster creation. During the four days of the event will circulate the CCXP cheerleaders characterized as monsters and creatures of the channel programming universe.
