Airplane food at your doorstep, the new craze in Germany

Pizza? Japanese food? Italian culinary? Forget it all. The trend now in Germany is home delivery of airplane food. Yes, that's exactly what you read. The service is called Air Food One and is a union between a German supermarket and a Lufthansa airline company.

It's hard to imagine anyone enjoying those meals served on board, but if you're a fan of reheated vegetarian lasagna, a soggy roll and a tiny salad served on your doorstep, you might like those foods that are classified as " business class quality ".

But why?

Researchers have found that the noise of a plane and the dread that some passengers feel are far removed with the taste of the food served on board. In addition, the combination of air pressure and low humidity of an aircraft alters a person's taste. This makes many people enjoy aerial meals.

But for precisely that reason, there is a chance that air-served meals will be better than when served on the floor. However, this people can only realize after tasting them on dry land. Still, it's hard to understand why anyone would prefer airplane food with so many options available.

Anyway, if you are (or live) in Germany and want to try Lufthansa airline food, you will have to shell out between $ 12 to $ 13 per meal (plus shipping). So are you really going to face it or would you rather pick up a pizza restaurant phone and order the usual one?
