If you checked out the result of The Giphoscope Award 2014 - an award dedicated exclusively to our beloved GIFs - and were curious to learn more about the winner's work, here it is!

Micaël Reynaud is a stop-motion designer and animator who develops GIFs unlike anything we see on the Internet. In the creative process, the professional uses video techniques, time-lapse and many other alternatives to come up with what he calls “mesmerizing short videos”.

In fact, some of the animations you will see below will surely waste you some time trying to understand how things happen. To achieve this, Reynaud produced some of the animations from videos featured on his Vimeo channel.

In addition to taking the 2014 Giphoscope Award's top prize, the designer was also recognized for his work at a competition hosted by the Saatchi Gallery in London, taking first place in the Animated Photography category with the pigeon image you see below.
