According to NASA simulation, Mars was once equal to Earth [video]

The NASA, after much research on the Red Planet and gathering some valuable information with the help of the Curiosity spacecraft, is making it increasingly "easy" to study the history of Mars.

The news is now a simulation released by the body, showing how the neighboring planet may have been a few billion years ago. One of the most surprising things about this is that the scenario was very similar to what we have on Earth today.

According to a statement from the agency itself, "Billions of years ago, when the Red Planet was young, it seemed to have a dense atmospheric layer that was warm enough to support oceans of liquid water - an important ingredient for life."

The statement also explains that the animation shows what the surface of Mars supposedly was like. The rapid movement of clouds suggests the passage of time and climate change, which oscillate between hot and cold, wet and dry periods. As the lakes dry up, the atmosphere no longer reflects a blue sky and turns into a reddish, dusty sky.

Watch the video below and then tell us what you think about the animation. If you also think that the look of Mars billions of years ago was similar to that of Earth today, is this the future of our planet?
