Remember the commotion caused by the possible discovery of the Higgs boson in early July? Then came news that the observed particle might, in fact, be just an impostor. However, according to the BBC, after a series of experiments, scientists are increasingly convinced that it was really the particle of God.

When the July experiments were conducted, the team of scientists stated that the probability that the observed particle was not the Higgs boson was 1 in 3.5 million. However, after further analysis, physicists now claim that this probability has risen from 1 to 300 million.

While it definitely seems certain that such a particle really exists - especially when we consider such an absurd probability - in the world of physics these numbers are not yet sufficient. Therefore, the analyzes continue so that scientists can undoubtedly confirm that the standard model is correct.
