This Doritos made only for women is already causing controversy

Apparently, women and men appreciate snacks differently, and who decided to tell us this news was Doritos, which should soon release a special version for the female audience.

The package will be smaller, to fit quietly in a handbag, and what in itself would be a strange product came with an announcement by PepsiCo, which owns the brand.

The announcement, by spokeswoman Indra Nooyi, says women don't like to eat Doritos the same way men do, who lick their fingers and eat to the last crumbs of an almost empty package. “Women would love to do the same, but they don't. And they don't lick their fingers generously and they don't like to take the little broken pieces and carry them to their mouths. ” So, lady, are you?

According to Nooyi, women need a snack that makes less noise, breaks less and does not leave fingers dirty.

Repercussion

is apparently launching 'ladies crisps' as women supposedly don't like crunching loudly or licking their fingers. AND they're magically sized to fit a lady's handbag. This can't be real?!? pic.twitter.com/rZEjMIdIWf

After the unusual announcement, many women began to comment on the topic, stating that they have no problem eating Doritos.

Representatives of the Women's Equality Party also commented on the issue: “No doubt some male consumers will enjoy the chance to have a larger package. But the idea of shrinking products for women, no doubt for the same price, is as old as advertising men making these decisions. Companies that perpetuate these exhausting gender stereotypes will continue to lose out within their largest consumer group: women. ”

On social networks, many people have remembered that disliking the noise of people chewing is extremely common and not dependent on gender.

For now, there is no brand confirmation of the product's location or release date. If this kind of news comes up here in Brazil, would you consume? Or do you also think that women, like men, eat Doritos without this being a problem?
