This world map places the most populous countries in the largest territories.

Looking at any world map, you can get a sense of which are the largest countries in the world. However, having the largest land mass means nothing in terms of population.

Japan, for example, has 127 million people living on a very small set of islands. Others are in the opposite position, such as Canada, which has the second largest surface in the world occupied by only 35 million people.

With that in mind, the user of Imgur JPalmz has created a map in which the names of countries with the largest populations are placed in the largest territories. In this case, China and India - which has more people - took the place of Russia and Canada, which has more land. Click on the image below to see it in its original size.

Want to know a curiosity about the map? Brazil is one of the countries that does not change places in this new order. This is because our country is in fifth place on both the largest and most populous list. How about looking for the other cases where this happens?
