Everest: Nepalese breaks record when climbing mountain twice in a row

A Nepalese woman is now the holder of a new record related to the ever challenging Mount Everest. The Sherpa ethnic climber climbed the 8, 848 meters of the mountain, safely descended ... and then repeated the work after only a week's rest.

This is the shortest period between two consecutive climbs so far, as confirmed by Guinness, the world record book. "I believe that women in Nepal needed this record, which is why I won it, " the woman told the publication. “I also wanted to prove the bravery of Nepalese women.”

Finally, she concludes (repeating a bit, it is true): “I am very happy to have achieved this record and I am also very pleased that Nepal has this feat.”
