Former President George Bush has become a painter and has portrayed 30 political leaders

Former US President George W. Bush recently let his artistic side speak louder and became a painter. With his own style and for the moment painting only political leaders (of various nationalities who do not always agree with the views of Americans), Bush will debut today at the presidential museum in Dallas, Texas.

The name of the group of paintings painted by the former president is entitled "The Art of Leadership: A President`s Personal Diplomacy" ("The Art of Leadership: The Personal Diplomacy of a President"). According to Margareth Spellings, president of the venue, Bush's goal was to portray his "personal diplomacy" with other political leaders in the world, even when ideological issues diverged.

Among the leaders portrayed by George W. Bush are Spaniard Jose Maria Aznar, Mexican Felipe Calderón, Englishman Tony Blair, German Angela Merkel, Colombian Álvare Uribe and even Russian President Vladimir Putin. The former president said in an official press release that the portraits were made from photographs and that they try to capture the sensations that the respective world leaders caused in him.

Bush began painting when he left the presidency and admitted that he is still learning and honing his techniques. According to him, the portrait he liked the most is that of Russian Vladimir Putin. Below are some of Bush's paintings that have already entered the exhibition in Dallas, Texas:
