Ice cream fan? Iranians produce 5-ton jar of cold delight

If you like ice cream a lot - but really ! - Imagine coming across a five-ton jar of this cold delight! What would you do? Would you call all your friends to share some of this dream come true? According to the NY Daily News, the "mega" dessert was prepared by an Iranian company, which plans to join the Guinness Book for producing the world's largest ice cream jar.

According to the publication, this is a Tehran company called Choopan - a suggestive name, isn't it? - which produced 5 tons of chocolate ice cream to try to set the current Baskin-Robbins record of just over 4 tons. It is not yet known whether Guinness personnel have already attested to the feat, but as you can see in the image below, the ceremony was closely followed by hundreds of people.

The cost of producing Iranian ice cream - served in a 1.6 meter high by 2 wide pot - was over $ 30, 000. But in addition to trying to break the previous record, the intention of the manufacturer is to encourage sales of the product in the country. The average annual consumption of ice cream in Iran is 1.5 pounds per person.
