Fernanda Yamamoto - Winter 2012

Fernanda Yamamoto based her winter 2012 collection on Renaissance elements, and especially on portraits made by Bianca Maria Sforza in the period. The collection is elegant and very adult, with right body silhouette, extreme richness of fabrics and materials, coordinated pieces and lots of shine.

Jacquards reproduce Renaissance paintings, and handcrafted nylon is worn over felt, giving it a plasticized look. In addition, there are also: cotton with lurex yarn and metallic silkscreen, very thin Japanese polyester with foil, tricoline and a lot of tailoring wool. The embroideries, which are many and detailed, were made with seals and navete stones, and 100, 000 more stones were used.

For a sexier touch, strategic cutouts on the pieces revealed a bit of skin. The pencil skirt also appeared and gained a slightly sporting touch when combined with hooded jackets. The colors were very dirty, with lead, black and beige predominating.
