Photographer creates amazing scenes and “hides” mini people in full view
Everybody has ever experienced the feeling of being small and insignificant about the rest of the world, right? For the images that you will see next - clicked by a London artist who works under the pseudonym “Slinkachu” - refer precisely to this idea and invite us to be more attentive to the details that we fail to notice in our daily lives.
Enjoying lifeAccording to Time, Slinkachu creates small alternate realities that are "hidden" in front of everyone's eyes, but which are revealed when we stop to watch the scenes more carefully. According to the artist, his work plays with the notion of surprise and aims to encourage urban citizens to pay more attention to the world around them.
Death and taxesSlinkachu has created his tiny scenes in public places around the world, using plastic and clay people to set up his scenes. In certain cases the artist dismembers the model's little bodies and reassembles them to achieve certain poses and, after he finishes shooting everything, simply leaves his “works” to be discovered by less distracted passers-by.
BanquetThe sets are set up so that anyone can see them, and the titles tend to reflect the feelings of melancholy and loneliness of living in a big city. With respect to the fate of his abandoned little people, Slinkachu says he prefers not to know what end they took - if they were trampled, destroyed, carried away by the rain etc. - choosing to imagine that they just got lost.
