Marilyn Monroe is already part of our imagination. Icon of cinema and symbol of beauty, the actress is among a select number of people who, from time to time, is revisited and inhabits our memory. Even better when we have the opportunity to catch these great idols in a new way.

This is exactly the case with the new show taking place in New York. Titled “Picturing Marilyn, ” the exhibition features 62 photos of the actress at different times in her life - from her youth as an aspiring actress to her last photo shoot six weeks before her death.

In addition to many iconic images, the exhibition also reveals Marilyn in photos never before released to the public. An example of this is a photo taken in 1949, where the actress appears smiling, without any makeup, at the age of 23, while still starting her career.

The images of the actress were mostly captured by the lenses of Bern Stern and Andre de Dienes, who became friends with Marilyn, and were the photographers who recorded great moments of the actress's life. One of the highlights is the unpublished image that is part of the session “The Last Sitting”, photographed by Bern Stern, in which the actress appears wearing a black Dior dress with a deep neckline at the back. The dress has just been recreated by maison especially for the exhibition.

Curated by Staley - Wise Gallery, the exhibition was organized in a partnership with maison Dior and Weinstein Company to commemorate the production of the studio's "My Week With Marilyn, " which is scheduled to premiere on November 23. in the United States and November 25 in England.
