Kitten between life and death rescued by firefighter [video]

Cory Kalanick is a California-based firefighter who showed the world an exciting rescue. Always wearing a camera strapped to his helmet, the fireman told channel CBS47 that his lens usually records tragic moments in people's lives, but this time was different.

Entering a burning house to search for survivors, Cory Kalanick came across a unconscious kitten lying on the floor. The firefighter's first reaction was to rescue the animal, take it out of the smoke-filled house and resurrect it.

After pouring water over the animal's body and using an entire oxygen tank, Lucky - as he was baptized - recovered his vital signs. In the video, you can see that the kitten meows, but still looks quite dizzy and disoriented.

Cory Kalanick - also known at the corporation as the "vegan firefighter" - compiled the rescue scenes in a video that simulates the trailer for a movie called The Rescue . Jezebel's website indicates that Lucky is well and is housed in the city's SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
