Man films wife being attacked by shark on couple's honeymoon

Evan Carroll and Sarah Illig recently married and chose Caribbean beaches for their long-awaited honeymoon. Everything went as planned until Sarah was attacked by a nurse shark during a dive - the accident was filmed by her husband.

It all happened in a matter of seconds, and as she was startled by the attack, Sarah swam startled toward Evan, who was filming his wife at the same moment.

Fortunately, the animal's bite injuries were not serious, and Sarah said she was slow to understand what was going on as she was not seeing very well because of the diving goggles. She said that when she felt her arm being pulled, she thought it was her husband playing a joke and only understood that it was not because of the severe pain she felt.

Unusual

The shark that attacked Sarah, which is about 1.5 m long, is considered a docile animal and only attacks other people when provoked. In the video, we see that nothing happens differently for the shark to act aggressively.

Since such an attack is rare indeed, because the shark is used to swimming among tourists, it can be said that Sarah was really at the wrong time and in the wrong place.
