Amazing! See photos of a whale jumping like a dolphin
An extremely rare record has been made recently, and since the images were released, they have caught the attention of the world. Imagine what it would be like to see a humpback whale jumping out of the water like a dolphin. Imagined? Just don't forget that we are talking about a much larger animal than any dolphin - the whale in question weighs an absurd 40 tons.
The images were recorded off the coast of South Africa by tour guide Steven Benjamin, who managed to capture this incredibly rare and spectacular moment - you can imagine the amount of water that went everywhere when the “bug” fell back in the ocean?
Benjamin was in the region with his camera because he documented the migration of more than 1, 000 whales from the coast of South Africa to the warm waters of Mozambique and Madagascar. In a statement in the Daily Mail, Benjamin, who never thought he would ever see a humpback whale so closely, explained that these whales can make such a leap. What is rare, however, is that someone is positioned at a safe distance with a camera in hand.
Benjamin, who started taking pictures of marine life six years ago, says that when he shows pictures to different people, their reaction is almost always the same: they need to look at the pictures twice to make sure they are seeing a real picture and not a mount. You can understand, isn't it?
