Japanese creates realistic mockups of deteriorated cities and war zones

Decayed urban areas and regions ravaged by armed conflict may not, at first glance, be the main inspiration of artists; Japanese Satoshi Araki, however, is an exception. With great sensitivity and attention to the smallest details, the guy elaborates incredible models that portray the decay of cities and the impact of war on the landscape of a given place.

His creations are based on photographic records that circulate on the Internet, and the materials used are pieces of Styrofoam he cuts and paints, miniature vehicles and model-specific human figures. The result of this impressive work you see below:
