1. The bone collector

Ray Bandar is a retired biologist and for at least 50 years has been collecting animal skulls and other bones.

A resident of San Francisco in the United States, Ray estimates that his collection already has more than 7, 000 skulls, as well as other members of animals found in the region. According to him, removing the meat from the skull and disarticulating the jaws of the carcasses is a true hobby and there is nothing crude about it, since all the animals are dead.

His obsession with bones began in elementary school when the retiree earned the nickname "Reptile Ray."

2. The immense collection of stolen spoons

More than ten years ago, Dieter Kapsch had been traveling with her sister to Spain when she suggested they steal a spoon from the plane as a vacation souvenir. Every time Dieter used the cutlery, he had fond memories.

From there, he decided to collect all the "aerial spoons" he could get. With nearly 2, 000 pieces, he says that his friends and family have helped in the endeavor and that he has even got cutlery from the 1920s and 1930s.

3. More than a thousand clowns

Ortrud Kastaun, 66, has been collecting clown dolls since 1995, and today has passed more than 2, 000 models. She even had to move to a larger house to make room for all her "friends."

Ortrud took a taste for the hobby while trying to quit alcoholism. During a therapy, she put together a puzzle and the image formed was that of a clown. After that, she decided she would collect them.

4. The owner of the “Penis Museum”

For over 40 years, Icelandic Sigurdur Hjartarson has collected nearly 300 different animal penises for his collection. When asked about it, he said that "someone needed to do that."

In the museum he set up to display the items, they range from small “parts” like a hamster measuring 2 millimeters to large whale-like penises, almost 2 meters long.
