Elephant mom stays for 11 hours trying to rescue her baby from the mud [video]

The desperation of a mother who sees her child in danger is not unique to humans. In a recent record, an elephant mother was seen trying to rescue her calf that had fallen into a well in India.

According to the Daily Mail, the very distressed animal spent about 11 hours next to the hole and trying to reach her baby. The pup was reportedly dropped there at 9 pm and was only removed around 8 am.

Fortunately, villagers in the Chatra region realized what was happening and were able to dig around the hole to facilitate rescue.

In this way, the mother managed to save her puppy after so long of anguish that the little one was in the mud pit. Check out the video below:
