German artist Meike Harde's new project has been catching the public's attention in recent weeks. The Too Too To Be True piece shows faces created based on today's beauty standard. The artist has created a kind of mask for her three models, including eyes, nose and mouth that match what is considered beautiful today.

Harde's intention was to confront the established and widely publicized standard in contemporary society, showing that the sum of features considered beautiful may not always result in a perfect face. On her official website, the artist also mentions that she wants to show that artificial beauty can cause distortions in the face, bringing results that are opposed to any concept of beauty. During the Fine Arts show, visitors also received copies of the masks. According to Harde, this caused disquieting reactions from the public itself, inside and outside the showrooms.
