The Ghostbusters: Harold Ramis Dies at 69

Remembering the life and career of a departed admired artist is always a tricky business. No matter what is said - there is always the idea that justice has not been done. The impression is particularly noticeable in the case of Harold Ramis, the eternal "Egon" of "Ghostbusters". The actor, director, producer and screenwriter passed away yesterday, 24, at the age of 69 from a rare form of inflammatory vasculitis, an autoimmune disease he had faced since 2010.

Ramis leaves behind an extensive and respectable list of film work, having participated in such works as Groundhog Day, Caddyshack, Analyze This, The Office ”and, of course, “ The Ghostbusters ”- in which he acted and scripted in partnership with Dan Aycroyd.

Comedy "Reinventor"

But Ramis is also recognized as one of those responsible for the direction the comedy genre took during the 1980s and 1990s, concentrating a rare ability to maneuver between humor, lightness and complexity without ever going down to an easy label.

Well, this and more, curiously, a certain moral / pedagogical skill ... Since it would take a while to find a guy in his thirties who didn't owe part of his childhood to the ode to genius "losers" whose enviable job It boiled down to haunting haunts with the overstatement of cool technology. Hard to forget. Rest in peace, Ramis.
