This artist's drawings “work” like photographic film negatives

Even though it is much rarer for people today to bring their photographic films to "reveal", everyone has seen a negative, right? They show the images recorded with the inverted lighter and darker tones - noting that the areas of the film where the light strikes are darker than the unreached parts of the film, which are transparent - as you can see in the following example:

Remember them?

For there is a guy who decided to draw portraits as if they were negative - which means that details and nuances only really become apparent when the light and dark tones are reversed. The result is impressive and you can see one of this artist's creations below:

According to the folks at Twisted Sifter, the portraits are authored by a 22-year-old boy from the UK named Liam York - who found himself in the most confusion a few years after he “stole” the work of other artists. However, it seems that he has learned the lesson and now only releases his own drawings, including time-lapse videos showing the young man in action.
