Boy climbs the highest mountain in the UK wearing high heels

The highest point in the United Kingdom is in Scotland: Ben Nevis Mountain is 1, 344 meters high and attracts about 100, 000 tourists a year. In fact, it is not one of the highest or most difficult to climb mountains, but have you ever imagined it using high heels? Well, that was the feat of 19-year-old Ben Conway.

The boy lives in London and chose this challenge to try to apply for a scholarship at Brixton School of Communication, which asked candidates to do "something passionate about something they were in love with." Conway has been enjoying drag culture for 13 years, so he decided to do something within this universe.

The jumps made it difficult, but the wind and rain also bothered during the climb

The young man started climbing at 8 am on June 27 wearing a pair of 12-inch heels instead of wearing something more appropriate, such as a sneaker. The project lasted 5 hours, with some mishaps along the way: it rained practically all the time, it was windy and one of the shoes broke.

Conway also created a fundraising campaign to make a donation to the Stonewall NGOs dealing with LGBT rights and Sal's Shoes which distributes shoes to underprivileged children around the world. In all, he got £ 345, the equivalent of $ 1, 400! Cool, right? Now wait for the return from college to see if he got the scholarship. We here at Mega hope so!
