Retrospective: What marked the year 2011

2011 was full of trends in all market segments: fashion, beauty or gastronomy.

Many of them are here to stay, however, some have been so used in a short period of time that they need a break in the public eye to get back into the spotlight with more regulated doses, such as Color Blocking. Still, there is no way to take the importance of this trend that made fashion even more colorful and striking.

In the fashion world, when it comes to celebrities, no doubt, this year was also for Kate Moss. In addition to being the hottest and most fashionable bride of 2011, Kate shone in the grand and magical Louis Vuitton fashion show.

Convicted of racism for uttering anti-Semitic (anti-Jewish) phrases in late 2010, John Galliano had to leave Maison Dior. The designer was fined 6, 000 euros for what happened, as well as severed relations with several Jewish personalities such as Natalie Portman who was the face of the Miss Dior perfume campaign.

Despite the scandal, some friends remained by his side, such as the top Kate Moss who, besides inviting him to her wedding, wore a dress signed by him at the ceremony.

In 2011, we were presented with several fashion and fast fashion partnerships, especially the joy of those who could travel to other countries that had stores that participated in this trend that took over the fashion universe.

And one of the most acclaimed and beloved fashionista partnerships was that made by Versace with H&M in November. The success was such that the first batches of the pieces ended in 30 minutes in stores that distributed passwords to customers.

Best Campaign of the Year: Lanvin with Raquel Zimmermann

One campaign that gave the talk was the Lanvin brand starring Brazilian model Raquel Zimmermman.
