SkyCube: You Can Help Send a Satellite into Space

Would you pay to send messages straight from space? The idea may sound crazy, but that's exactly what Tim DeBenedictis needs a lot of people (or companies) to be willing to do. Otherwise, your satellite - called "SkyCube" - will not be completed nor will it orbit.

The satellite is a small cube that will orbit the planet, taking low-resolution photos of the earth. In addition, it will also convey several messages from different sponsors, so that many people will be reached - that is, there is a huge consumer audience involved in the story.

The idea of sending the messages, called Tweets from Space, came from the fact that the satellite needs to send health checks every 10 seconds. Therefore, short texts can be sent with these confirmations, along with photos taken by the satellite itself.

For the person to send your tweet, just have access to the internet and have contributed to the project - you can donate money by clicking here.

He will be seen here from Earth

After 90 days orbiting the planet, a balloon 10 meters in diameter is opened, covered by a reflective powder of titanium dioxide. Because of the sunlight, it will be very bright and can be seen from here on Earth. In addition, the balloon is also responsible for bringing the satellite back to Earth's atmosphere, ending the mission.
