Child Talent: See a selection of beautiful photos captured by children!

Who says it's only “big people” who can have a talent for photography? In fact, although we are more accustomed to adult-focused photo contests and awards, there is no shortage of children and adolescents with the sensitivity and skill to spare when manipulating equipment and capturing images and unique moments.

Examples of skilful young portraits are the best you can see, selected from the best in a competition focused on students from the K-2 through the 12 years of the US education system, ie children between the ages of 5 and 10. 17 years old. According to Jacqueline Gulledge of Mother Nature Network, the contest was organized by the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History, and was attended by students from more than 500 schools in and around the city.

According to Jacqueline, the competition organizers received thousands of photos and selected 1 winning portrait for each school year. In addition, the contest also had the participation of the public to choose the best image - and the chosen one was what you can see below, by Sofia Araujo, entitled “Micro Mosca”.
