Time-lapse shows the beauty of airport routine [video]

Who has never stopped to look at a plane, so beautiful up there, and wonder: where would it be going? Even better is when we have the opportunity to spend a few minutes at an airport watching the landings and takeoffs and be even more impressed by the capacity of such large and powerful machines.

The photo you see above is the image that inspired American photographer Owen Scharlotte to create an incredible time-lapse showing the beauty of airport routine. In the image, photographer Terence Chang superimposed 79 incredible takeoff and landing photos from the San Francisco International Airport.

After seeing this image, Owen Scharlotte explains in his blog how was the whole process that resulted in the video you see below. Following the example of photography that inspired him, Scharlotte also chose to portray the routine of airports at San Francisco International Airport.

In all, the professional reveals that it took more than four nights, adding more than 20 hours of work. By the end of the process, he had 8, 000 photographs and 150 GB of data that were edited with the help of programs like Adobe Lightroom, Panolapse, Quicktime Pro and Premiere Pro. Check it out!
