Time Tunnel: Hit Songs that Turn 10, 20, or 30 in 2016

If you're a little tired of your music playlist, how about going back in time and remembering what was doing on the radio in 2006? We can go back a little further to 1996, and if you're still in the mood, you can also listen to the 1986 classics!

Put on the phone, turn up the sound and come with us:

2006

Let's start by taking it easy: this first selection will be like “wow, it seems like I heard this song yesterday”, but it's actually been a decade! Yeah.

  • Who went to the club at the time, hit his hair with: "Don't cha", The Pussycat Dolls; SexyBack, Justin Timberlake; Pump it, The Black Eyed Peas; “Deja vu” Beyonce & Jay-Z; “SOS”, Rihanna; and World, hold on, Bob Sinclair and Steve Edwards

  • A lot of people waited for Disk MTV to see Simple Plan, with "Welcome to my Life" and "Perfect", and Panic! At The Disc, with “I write sins not tragedies”

  • There was one more song from the “controversial” (and ultimately lying) double tATu - “All about us”

  • The humorous criticism of singer Pink! - Stupid Girl

  • “You're Beautiful” by James Blunt. This one has no middle ground: either people love or hate it!
  • Those songs that the listeners hear a lot to this day: “Betting and certainties”, CPM 22; "She'll be back, " Charlie Brown Jr .; and “Who has lost a dream here, ” Hateen

  • This one is going to make a lot of people run to hear: "Kisses, blues and poetry", K-Sis

  • Did you have funk on the radios? Sure: "Shivering vacillation", Perlla, "Glamorous" and "She only thinks about kissing", by MC Leozinho

  • Ana Carolina and Seu Jorge shone with “For the street to take me” and “That's it”
  • Wanessa Camargo left the crowd in the pit with “I can't resist both of us”

  • There was also one of the most played songs in the carnival at that time: “Oh, oh, oh”, Vanessa da Mata

1996

This was the year of the great successes of the national pop rock bands, holding Tchan and mourning the death of the Assassin Mamonas.

  • 20 years ago, Oasis presented us with “Wonderwall” and “Don't look back in anger”
  • There were also Foo Fighters with “Big Me”, Green Day with “Walking Contradiction” and Smashing Pumpkins with “1979”

  • Classics you forgot: Joan Osborne, with "One of us", and La Bouche, singing "Be my lover" ("laralarilara lara")

  • Alanis broke the world with "Ironic", "Head over feet" and "Your learn"

  • There was also the classic of the classics: “Killing me softly”, The Fugees. Seriously, go remember that wonder now!
  • It may not sound like it, but 20 years ago you curled your tongue trying to sing "Estoy Aqui" by Shakira

  • Another song that was booming was Billy Ray Cyrus's "Achy break heart, " and you probably have no idea who this guy is these days. But what if I tell you that the duo Chitãozinho and Xororó re-recorded this song with the name of “Pure Emotion”?

    “Cowboy Way
    In a woman's body
The kind that doesn't look at anyone
    And she doesn't leash
    But I think you wait
And you know that love will one day come ”
  • To close: For two decades you have enjoyed “What I Got” by Sublime.

Already among the national ...

  • Those who enjoyed dancing were falling into samba with "Tanajura" and "Cohab City" by Negritude, and "Pimpolho" by Art Popular.

  • It was also this year that you surrendered to “It's Tchan / Melo do Tchan” and “Butt Dance”

  • We know hits like O Rappa - “The Fair”, Paralamas do Sucesso - “Lourinha Bombril”, Jota Quest - “The Pains of the World” and Kid Abelha - “On the street, in the rain, on the farm”
  • But it was Skank that got the most songs: “It's a football match”, “So yours” and “National girl”
  • We still had Sandy and Jr. and could enjoy "Not having" and "Dig dig joy"

  • Do you know what you sang too? “Tic tic tac” by Carrapicho (with the little toss of hair) and “Red” by Marcia Freire (I doubt you sang that part the right way: "The old communist joined in, reddening the blush of my love")

  • But nothing has stopped the country more than "Macarena", from Los Del Rio. Just roll in a little party that the people already begin to stretch their arms and follow the choreography.

1986

The 1980s were magic for music and cinema. So no matter how old you are, you will know at least one of these gems!

  • In addition to being successful in theaters - and now in the Afternoon Session - some films have released unforgettable hits, such as Burning Heart - “Survivor”, “Rocky IV” score; Peter Cetera - "Glory of Love", who played "Karate Kid"; Berlin - "Take my breath away"; and Kenny Loggins - "Danger zone" by "Top Gun".

  • Believe me, Bon Jovi is already in his fifties team! One of his biggest hits, "You give love a bad name", turns 30 in 2016!

  • When Kelly Osbourne was just 1 year old, Madonna was a hit with "Papa Don't Preach"
  • Queen Whitney Houston was on the charts with "Greatest love of all, " as was Lionel Richie with "Say you say me."

  • Looking for a song to make that lively day? Put "Your love" by The Outfield! Synonymous with joy for three decades.
  • For some more fun, you need to put in your playlist: Bananarama's “Venus” and Miami Sound Machine's “Conga”.
  • The national rock conquered the radios with Legião Urbana - “Eduardo and Mônica” and “Índios”; Initial Capital - “Urban Music” and “Vascan Summer”; Hawaii Engineers - “Every Form of Power”; Paralamas do Sucesso - “Sailor Melon”; Titans - “Police”; Kid Bee - “Boys”; Lulu Santos - “Alright”; and Cazuza - “Codename Hummingbird”

  • People who like romantic songs liked Fábio Jr. - “When the World Turns”, and Djavan - “Sina”
  • And the party people had to listen to Tim Maia - “From the Rudder to the Pontal”, and the Backyard Fund Group - “Just to be contrary”
