UFG will launch Brazil's 1st Artificial Intelligence degree

Federal University of Goiás (UFG) created the first degree of Artificial Intelligence in Brazil. The new course was approved by the university council of the institution unanimously recently, and its activities will start in 2020. In this sense, 40 places will be offered in the Unified Selection System (SiSU), for which it will be possible to apply using the grades obtained in the National High School Exam (Enem).

The bachelor's degree will be conducted full time by the Institute of Informatics (INF) of UFG at Campus Samambaia, in Goiânia. This unit is considered a national reference in Artificial Intelligence teaching and research. According to Dr. Anderson Soares, professor of INF, this type of approach is usually offered only at postgraduate level; It can now be better exploited to meet the growing need for skilled professionals in the country.

UFG's Artificial Intelligence degree course will last four years, and will have a structured curriculum with broad and area-specific content, focusing on business or business solutions. This way, your future graduates will be able to lead the development of advanced solutions and products in the job market, based on concepts such as machine learning.
