People are now more accustomed to the idea of wearing seat belts in the front seats of the vehicle; But in the rear seats the situation is quite different. A new study by a US auto safety agency shows that only 72% of passengers in these seats wear their belts.

And that percentage is even worse when compared to services like taxis and Uber: only 57% of those who travel in the back seats use their belts. For the front seats, the amount is 91%. In the video below, you can see two accidents involving taxis and with different consequences, since a group is without security. Check out:

According to data from the same agency, rear seat passengers have a 44% higher chance of survival when wearing seat belts. We should be aware, for example, that any person or object may be becoming a kind of projectile inside a vehicle involved in an accident. In the human case, it can endanger even the life of the driver wearing a seat belt.

Nowadays, in Brazil, there is a growing awareness of the use of child seats for children up to 7 years old being transported in the rear seats buckled with seat belts. So after they grow up, this habit of caring for life should continue. Think about it!
