See what the capsule Elon Musk created to save children in Thailand

This week, the whole world kept an eye on Thailand. There, a soccer coach and his children's team were trapped inside a cave (which they entered to escape a thunderstorm but ended up trapped because of the water). It was not long before Elon Musk (from Tesla, SpaceX, and Boring Company) showed support and offered rescue help.

Because he wasn't kidding. On Saturday he reported on progress in developing a "child-sized submarine" to help rescue, a project he and the SpaceX engineers undertook.

And today (Sunday) he posted videos of the device's tests in a swimming pool, informing that the material was already being sent to Thailand on a plane. It is worth mentioning that the system was built using a liquid oxygen tube used in the Falcon rockets as a hull.

Tests have shown that it is possible to safely and safely carry a child inside the capsule, which must be carried by two divers for the rescue course to be covered. The capsule has "four front and rear air ports. The front is still protected by a nose cone and is double insulated to seal an acrylic window that allows divers to observe the occupant."

Will it be used in Thailand?

By the time Musk's capsule was being shipped to Thailand, the Thai boys' rescue operation had already begun. With this, it is hoped that it will not be necessary to use the project in this mission. Even so, Elon Musk used his Twitter to say that the prototype will continue to be available for future emergencies, also mentioning that some modifications may turn the system into a "space pod".

Musk went further and praised the team working on the site: "I am still impressed by the courage, resilience and tenacity of children and divers. The human character shown at its best."
