Vivienne Westwood Creates Collection for Queen's Jubilee

Stylist Vivienne Westwood decided to get in the mood for Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee 2nd. To mark the celebrations, she has created a capsule collection of sophisticated dresses that are inspired by models already worn by royalty.

As reported by British Vogue, the designer met the Queen in 1992 and constantly uses the elements of the country in her creations. Among them, the country flag inspired the color chart of the Red Carpet Capsule Collection, which takes shades of bronze, gold and silver.

For the Queen's Jubilee line, Vivienne has developed varied models with long or knee length and details such as drapes and voluminous layers. The fabrics used were silk satin, taffeta and organza. The color palette varies, from flag tones to navy, pink and white, which are more neutral.

In addition to the dresses, the stylist also created a collection of earrings, all in classic and delicate style, like the Queen's taste. The pieces will be launched in May, with prices starting at 650 pounds. To check first what should fill the shelves, check out the photos in the gallery:
