5 revolutionary motorcycle concepts

(Relaxnews) - When science fiction comes together with reality, some bikes get clashing futuristic design with added technology never seen before. Here are five of these exceptional prototypes.

B-rocket

French watchmaking Bell & Ross features B-Rocket, a spectacular motorcycle made in collaboration with a British Harley-Davidson dealership (Shaw Speed and Customs). With its retro design, it features a 1.584cc Twin Cam 96 HD engine. B-Rocket was first-hand presented at the Paris International Automobile Festival in January 2014 and is exhibited at Baselworld, the indispensable meeting of watchmakers from 27 March to 3 April.

Kawasaki J

It was at the 2013 Tokyo show that Kawasaki introduced this bold concept of futuristic lines. In addition to its aggressive lines and 100% electric motorization, Kawasaki J stands out above all for its ability to change its look according to the circumstances. In the city, the two front wheels separate and the handlebars rise. In the inverse condition, at high speed, the two front wheels come together and the handlebars lower, thus changing the riding position: the more speed you gain, the more you stretch.

The new company, Lotus Motorcycles, presents its first motorcycle, the spectacular C-01, a future sports car of at least 200 hp. This first model will be composed of noble materials such as carbon, titanium or even a steel commonly used in aircraft. The model presented is still a road-approved prototype developed by the Kodewa racing team, driven by Colin Kolles, who worked for a long time in Formula 1. Designer Daniel Simon, who participated in the creation of the motorcycle in the movie Tron, designed its contours.

Voxan wattman

For its revival, French automaker Voxan created an event at the Paris Motor Show for the world premiere of its Wattman, the most powerful electric motorcycle in the world. Designed by Sacha Lakic, it has a 200 hp engine with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 s. Its commercialization is scheduled for 2015.

Also presented first-hand at the 2013 Paris Salon, GECO is the work of former rider Eric Offenstadt. It presents itself as the first “homokinetic” motorcycle. Its innovative technology aims to eradicate the sometimes observed differences between the effective speed of the vehicle and that of the streets, for greater grip on the ground. However, you will still be required to participate in endurance testing before serving as a laboratory for engineers to improve the safety of this machine.
