You have probably heard several stories, often called urban legends, about haunted places. Some of these fables are chilling, especially when they have a reason to start.

And nothing better than enjoying this time to see some of these supposedly haunted places in the US - the land of Halloween. So pack your bags, get international health insurance (in case you have a heart attack), call all your friends and don't forget to enjoy the ride a lot.

1– Moundsville Penitentiary

An abandoned jail does not usually look good, especially when it has received more than 1, 000 criminals in about 100 years of history. To make matters worse, Moundsville Penitentiary was once considered one of the most violent in America. In it prisoners lived in a tight space, and conflicts were not uncommon, ending in murder or in an electric chair. The site was closed in 1995, but those who say it is possible to hear the tormented souls that continue there.

2– Trans-Allegheny Psychiatric Asylum

Called Weston State Hospital, this psychiatric clinic ran from 1864 to 1994. The site treated people with mental illness and cared for WWII military personnel, but many of the patients died there. Today the hospital is supposedly haunted, and there are guided tours called paranormal tours aimed at "ghost hunting". Would you have the courage?

3 - Jerome, Arizona

Sammie Dan was a strangled prostitute by one of her clients; that's why they say their spirit walks the streets of Jerome, Arizona. However, the history of the city is not just about it: despite being the best known spirit, the place has a very hectic paranormal reputation with many "ghostly" residents.

Located in Tampa's Ybor City neighborhood, this was a place that welcomed many Cuban immigrants. There were balls, and people went to have fun. Today, he hosts concerts and special events, but there are reports that Cuban partygoers are still in place even after death and can be found mainly in the elevators or playing the piano.

This is a battlefield that remains intact and was part of the Revolutionary War.
