6 Shocking Moments in Superhero Comics

The comics are filled with times when we need to apply the "suspension of disbelief" and understand that absurd and impossible situations are part of the style of this media. However, however familiar you are with these stories, there are certain events that are difficult to accept, causing some indignation in the most loyal readers.

The following list brings up some nasty events in the superhero world where they act completely out of character, becoming corrupt, murderous or perverted.

1. Homicidal Batman

You already know the rule: Batman doesn't use weapons, Batman doesn't kill. However, in the memory of the hero's longtime fans, this is a rule that has already been broken. For the first two years of Batman, he not only used a firearm to fight villains - and occasional vampires - but killed them in various ways, making unheroic remarks afterwards.

The change from this "no kill" philosophy came when its creators decided it would be best to continue to leverage their memorable villains throughout the stories. Imagine what it would be like to definitely get rid of characters like Bane or Joker after half a dozen stories.

2. Superman making a pornographic movie

In an 80's story, Superman and the heroine Great Barda are mentally controlled by a villain named Sleez. The weird character then forces both powerful paladins to stage a pornographic movie. Yes, the blue boy scout having sex ... With a married woman ... And being filmed.

Although the "Code of Superhero Magazines" deprived readers of explicit scenes, what the two supposedly did there was sent by the villain Darkseid to Lord Miracle, husband of Big Barda. In the image above we can see your horror reaction. Both were saved from the situation when Miracle found out where they were and intervening.

3. Ant-Man Sexual Habits

When it comes to the sex life of heroes, the stories make comic fans often burst out laughing. Once in The Avengers magazine, a page featured Ant-Man, a Marvel character who could change size from the bottom of the sheets that covered his wife, the heroine Vespa.

The scene hints that he was fidgeting with her private parts, and when she asks him to stop, the hero appears to increase in size between her breasts. Marvel has officially confirmed that Ant-Man uses his powers to turn into a sex toy and satisfy his partner.

4. The Punisher Becomes an Angel

Over the years, it seemed uncertain whether anti-hero Frank Castle would die, as it became fashionable among the characters from Marvel and DC Comics. Finally it happens, but the saying-whose is so hard that death has not kept him out of the game.

Instead, he was transformed into an avenging angel sent from heaven to destroy demons on earth - something that is inconceivable to both Bible readers and Punishers. He was, after a while, returned alive to earth as a punishment for not doing his job properly.

5. Green Lantern turns into a genocide

The saga "Death of Superman" was a major story that had several consequences in the DC universe during the 1990s. One was the annihilation of Coast City, hometown of Hal Jordan, the most famous member of the Lantern Corps. Greens in the comics - yes, the one played by Ryan Reynolds in the movie.

After a while, Hal tries to use the energy from planet Oa, where the central ring of power rings was, to rebuild the city. The Guardians, elders who command the Troop and this energy, do not allow it. Jordan simply goes mad and murders practically all the Guardians and Green Lanterns, then destroying Oa. This story is known as "Emerald Twilight."

For a while, he acts like a villain, taking the name Parallax, but a few years later is redeemed by writers who made the genocide the work of an alien entity that possessed the hero.

6. Blob Devours Wasp (and is Devoured Next)

Ultimatum is the name of the fifth series of comics in the Marvel Ultimate line, a parallel universe with events that diverge from the events of main Marvel mythology. This phase was marked by extreme violence, murders, and scenes such as Magneto breaking Professor Xavier's neck.

The most horrible moment, however, happened between villain Blob and superhero Vespa. The Giant - another Ant-Heroic identity - finds Blob having a meal with his wife and exclaiming, "It tastes like chicken."

As if that wasn't gross enough, the Giant increases its size and bites Blob's head off. Turning two old Marvel characters into cannibals was an unexpected, violent and unpleasant turn.

If you rely on some screenwriters, not only saving burned orphanages and rescuing kittens from trees will make the lives of superheroes. And you, do you know any other shocking moments that marked the comics?
