Autistic artist reproduces New York City after brief flyover

That there are people with photographic memory is known to everyone. Now, when one of these great creatures also possesses artistic rather than formidable gifts (it must be said), the chance of magnificent works being produced is extremely high.

However, the amount of odd features of this young man in question does not stop there. Stephen Wiltshire has a condition known as autism, which prevented him from speaking and even relating to people until about his seven years of life. Despite all the obstacles, Stephen is an absolutely unusual artist.

The boy has the ability to memorize entire routes within minutes, which include, for example, the entire physical structure of a city. Shortly thereafter, he is able to reproduce almost ipsis literis what he has just seen, with phenomenal accuracy with respect to the details of the drawings.

About New York

Image Source: Press Release / Hypeness A few years ago Stephen was invited to fly over New York City and then create a design that reproduces the aerial view of the cosmopolitan capital of the world. The process included a helicopter flyover across the city, which lasted only 20 minutes, but was enough for him to record all the details.

Wiltshire's work can be seen in the video above, as well as some of the other interesting features of the artist's work. Fortunately, Stephen has received a lot of worldwide recognition, which has already earned him several awards - especially after this NY city design. It is worth checking out the images above the boy who earned the nickname "The Human Camera". Amazing!
