Deaf-born baby is thrilled to hear his mother's voice for the first time

When a woman is pregnant, one way she can bond with her baby is to talk to him, hum something, and be present. After the moment of childbirth, this also makes the child relaxed when she is placed in the mother's arms and listens to her voice.

This connection process took even longer to happen to little Annabelle Lawrence, who was born totally deaf and, from her earliest days, heard nothing. Fortunately, things have changed, since the little girl received two hearing aids and for the first time could hear the voice of her mother, Sarah.

The baby's reaction was surprising and full of cuteness; After all, after her mother asked if she could hear anything, Annabelle, who is only 3 months old, flashed a huge smile. For Sarah, the feeling of telling her daughter that she loves her and knowing that she listens is overwhelming.

Ever since she realizes her daughter's excitement every time she talks to her, her owl mom says she can't stop talking to her, even when she's doing her daily chores.

For now, Annabelle is wearing temporary devices; however, when she is 9 months old, she will receive cochlear implants. The joy of the moment is to realize that today's devices can prove that the baby's auditory nerve is functioning properly and is capable of receiving and interpreting sounds.

Sarah also explains that her daughter looks tired, after all this is the first time she's been listening, which means that her brain is working very hard and so she's been sleeping a lot more. However, when you are awake, it is pure animation.
