China plans to ban barbecue to combat pollution

The Chinese are furious. The reason? The government plans to ban barbecues in urban areas of the country as a way to combat pollution, which has reached alarming levels. In recent months, this situation has made a river in the country appear to be made of blood and has even turned carnivorous plants into vegetarians.

The controversial move has angered roast beef lovers, particularly those in the Xinjiang region, who do not dispense with a good kebab of lamb. While some question the effectiveness of this ban on pollution levels, others joke that frying will soon be banned as well.

Chinese pollution is so great that in January this year NASA was able to photograph a cloud that made the city of Beijing invisible to astronauts watching it from space.
