D-Day: These photos “tell” how the June 6, 1944 invasion began

On June 6, 1944, 74 years ago, one of the largest and boldest military operations in history began. Named "D-Day, " it was an invasion orchestrated by the Allied countries during World War II, when more than 160, 000 troops landed on the Normandy coast in France.

We at Mega Curioso have already published several D-Day stories here - to learn more, be sure to access this link, this and this one as well or take a look at articles related to this publication - but how photos help tell stories ( often better than words), we decided to share with you a selection of creepy portraits recorded during the invasion.
