These 6 Plants Can Improve Your Home's Air Quality

1 - Aloe vera

This little plant full of medicinal benefits grows easily and loves the sun. In relation to air, aloe vera helps to remove excess chemicals emanating from cleaners and paints. Do you know that little kitchen window where it is sunny? Here's a great place to position your aloe pot. Currently, the goo that comes out of the leaves of this plant is used in creams for burns and cosmetics.

2 - Spider Plant

This long, thin-leafed plant, which produces small white flowers, is powerful when it needs to combat some toxic air pollutants, including benzene, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide and xylene, which is a solvent.

3 - Gerberas

In addition to being beautiful, these flowers are great trichlorethylene scavengers, a chemical found in dry cleaners. Gerberas also remove benzene in the air when we paint walls and furniture. Leave these flowers in the laundry room and also in your room. It's critical that the pot they are in has dry soil, so pick the ones with small holes underneath - and don't let water accumulate in any pots, huh!

4 - Boa constrictor

You may have seen these stained leaflets somewhere, but you may not yet know that they eliminate formaldehyde from the air, so you can leave the boa constrictor adorning your garage as your car exhaust exudes that same substance. The secret is to leave this plant in the shade and not overdo it when watering it, because too much water causes its roots to rot. The leaves are quite toxic, so she needs to stay away from children and pets.

5 - Chrysanthemum

These nice flowers clean the air of impurities, especially if we talk about benzene, the very common toxic substance in products like glue, paint, plastics and detergents. It is critical that you let them sunbathe so that they are happy and always flowering - besides, chrysanthemums come in many different colors, so you can choose the ones that match your decor.

6 - Azalea

One more beautiful flower to our list of good plants. Azalea also takes formaldehyde out of the air and is a flower to have in colder environments. It's not good to water azaleas every day, but that doesn't mean the flower will survive in too dry a land.
