Strange or normal? This little baby was born with a tooth - and soft!

Everyone is used to seeing newborn babies completely "fussy", isn't it? And everyone knows that in general, in most children, the teeth begin to appear around 6 months of age, right? It is not uncommon, however, for some babies to start having teeth around 4 months, and if they decide to show up later, around 12 months, neither is cause for concern.

By the way, did you know that there are babies who are already born with teeth? These cases are a little more unusual, but not unheard of - and among them is that of a little British girl who surprised everyone when, opening a bellow in the delivery room, she revealed a "canjiquinha" in her mouth. The curious thing about this particular newborn is that the tooth was already soft, so at only 12 days of age, the poor child had to make his first visit to the dentist for an extraction! "Canjiquinha"

According to BBC Hayley Wescott, the little baby girl is named Isla-Rose Heasman, and was born (toothed) in Plymouth, Devon, England, and, as with most of us, the child's parents weren't expecting the surprise. in the little girl's smile. Not even the doctors expected, to tell the truth, since this type of case is only recorded once every 2, 000 - 2, 500 births.

Isla-Rose's little tooth, as we mentioned, was already soft and had to be extracted - and the procedure, performed by a pediatric dentist, involved applying an anesthetic powder and pulling out the damn thing. According to the professional who assisted the baby, as these teeth do not have well-developed roots, it may happen that they get really soft, which leaves no alternative but extraction.

And got a bit of a tease (BBC / Jasmin Heasman)

This is because, when dealing with such a tiny baby, the loose tooth could cause mouth ulcerations, in addition to disrupting the feedings and causing injury to the mother. Not to mention that there was a risk that the tooth would come loose and Isla-Rose suck it in - and it would lodge in one of the lungs. Note that these situations are quite unusual, although they can happen, but the little baby is no longer at risk. Ah! About the visit to the dentist, the girl's parents said she did not even grumble when the tooth was removed.
