Photographer makes stunning images of crumbling cars

Swiss photographer Fabian Oefner has decided to create a very different series, which will be especially appreciated by car lovers. Titled “Disintegrating, ” the image collection shows what we are not used to seeing: cars being destroyed.

The cars, of course, are small replicas, which the photographer himself was assembling, disassembling and recreating to achieve the perfection he sought. When he explained his motivation, Oefner explained that he always wanted to know what it was like to see a car disintegrating overnight.

What is different about these images is the way they were captured. Just to give you an idea, they can be classified as the “slowest high-speed images ever made”. Confused, isn't it? The concept can be understood by the fact that a “simple” image took three weeks to complete and give the visual sensation of being taken in a fraction of a second.

Oefner had the job of drawing all the images before building the environment to photograph them, that is, all the photos you will see next, full of details, were carefully programmed and drawn before they were conceived. Can you believe? And if you think this is simple, know that cars could have up to a thousand parts. Check out this amazing work below and then tell us what you think:
