Autistic little boy overcomes fear of getting a haircut with an amazing barber

Like many hairdressers around the world, 26-year-old Briton James Williams uses Facebook to publicize his work. Living in one of the countries that most dictate the fashion of hair around the world, it was through a simple and different post that he achieved an unexpected fame.

Last Tuesday (3), Williams released the juggling he had to do to get the haircut of a little boy with autism. Anyone living with someone in these conditions knows that it is often difficult to get the autistic person to focus on something he simply has no desire for - which, in the case of Mason, the boy in the photos, also included the fear of scissors near his ears. .

Instead of sitting the little boy in the chair like every other hairdresser does, Williams bet on technology: while the little boy was distracted by a mobile game lying on the floor, the pro did his job as carefully as possible. “We lay on the floor in silence, and he allowed me to get his first decent haircut, which made me achieve something I love about this job, ” Williams said.

The images quickly went viral - they were released with the consent of the boy's parents, of course. Williams told People magazine that he had experience with autistic children's haircutting and shared the story to raise awareness among parents and other professionals.
